On June 22, 2023, Gemalink Int'l Port was honored to welcome the ship OOCL PIRAEUS (Length: 399,990m; Width: 61.30m) to Vietnam, safely exploiting goods in suitable weather conditions and water draft.
Following OOCL SPAIN, OOCL PIRAEUS is the second ship delivered among twelve container ships with a carrying capacity of up to 24,188 TEU that OOCL ordered in 2020.
The ships in this series of 12 ships are designed to incorporate the latest technology today, equipped with advanced smart systems as well as focusing on upgrading green design to protect the environment such as low resistance lines and bows with onion shape helps save energy.
OOCL expects a new series of green and smart giant ships to bring OOCL economies of scale, energy efficiency and long-term safety.
