Immediately after going into operation in phase 1, Gemalink has become the largest deep-sea port in Cai Mep &#8211; Thi Vai area. When phase 2 is completed, Gemalink will be the largest deep-sea port in the country with an area up to 72 hectares and a capacity of 3 million Teus\/year. Gemalink is also equipped with the most modern facilities according to European standards. In particular, the berth system is designed to have a dedicated berths for feeders and barges, to help optimize the productivity, avoid the widespread congestion that no other seaport currently has.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Gemalink is a source of pride for Vietnam, recognized as one of the Top 19 ports worldwide that can handle the largest container vessels, up to 250,000 DWT.
