On May 24, Gemadept Joint Stock Company (Gemadept) held the opening ceremony of phase II of Nam Dinh Vu Port Complex at Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park, Hai Phong City.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Nam Dinh Vu port cluster is the key port in the North in the integrated Port and Logistics ecosystem of Gemadept Joint Stock Company (Gemadept – Stock code: GMD).
\nThe port owns a favorable location in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park – the most important international and domestic commercial goods transportation hub of the entire North. Located right at the mouth of Bach Dang River with a deep draft and wide turning basin, Nam Dinh Vu port is the closest gateway to the sea compared to other ports in the region. The port is located on the same traffic axis connecting Gemadept's port chain in Hai Phong.<\/p>\n

The area of the entire port cluster is 65 hectares, the total design capacity of 3 phases is 2 million TEU\/year. Possessing 7 berths spanning 1.5 km and the capacity to receive container vessels up to 48,000DWT, when completed, Nam Dinh Vu port cluster will be the largest and most scaled river port in the North, able to receive the largest feeders  and intra-Asian vessels in the river port area.<\/p>\n

“Fulfilling commitments to the Government and People's Committee of Hai Phong City, Gemadept Group and the partner Sao Do Group have invested and put into operation Nam Dinh Vu port cluster phase I since 2018. And today , Nam Dinh Vu port cluster phase II was officially put into operation," Mr. Do Cong Khanh, Deputy General Director of Gemadept, said at the ceremony.<\/p>\n

The area of both phases is 42ha, 880m of wharf and capacity of 1.2 million TEU\/year. The port is built and invested synchronously in infrastructure, equipment and technology according to international, modern and environmentally friendly standards. “With the policy of sustainable development and optimization of operational efficiency, Gemadept develops Nam Dinh Vu Port Cluster as well as other ports in Gemadept's ecosystem in the direction of 'Smarter and Greener' – 'Smarter & Greener'. Greener'", Mr. Khanh affirmed.<\/p>\n

Gemadept has researched and chosen to cooperate with the world's leading mining equipment manufacturing companies to equip Nam Dinh Vu Port with high-performance equipment.
