These are the first E-RTG cranes in the 18-unit package for Gemalink. With the goal of building a modern green port, Gemalink's E-RTG crane uses 100% grid electricity (Full electric), is operated semi-automatically, integrates the Flexible Load Control (ALC) technology and intelligent control cabin, has DGPS system combined with CATOS - modern port management software. Thereby, all activities of monitoring, operation management, coordination between the quay side and the yard side are carried out smoothly, quickly and accurately.

Up to now, along with these 9 E-RTGs, 4 out of 6 STS cranes have been installed and are in the stage of trial commissioning before being officially handed over to the Port. About the master plan, after all 6 STS cranes and 18 E-RTG cranes are installed completely in October, Gemalink will test equipments from November 2020 to be ready for official operation right from early 2021.
