Not only contributing more than half a million Teus per year to the designed capacity of Nam Dinh Vu port cluster, the second phase of the new project when completed will extend the berth of Nam Dinh Vu port cluster to nearly 1 km. In addition to its prime location (being the first port from the sea and located in Nam Dinh Vu industrial zone with good and convenient infrastructure), the project possesses a huge competitive advantage in attracting customers, especially when international shipping lines are tending to use larger vessels.
Currently, Gemadept owns and operates a network of 08 ports along the coastline capable to accommodate vessels of various sizes. At the same time, Gemadept is a leading company in Vietnam capable of providing the integrated Logistics solutions (4PL) to customers and partners. With two major port projects at both ends of the country, when completed, Gemadept's port capacity will be doubled, from the current 2 million TEUs to over 4.3 million TEUs/year. This will once again strongly affirm Gemadept's leading position in Port operation and Logistics in Vietnam.
